Update to Bus Routes: anyone that was on Jimmy's second route will now be riding Jason's bus route and that route will be running about 30 minutes earlier than Jimmy's original second route.

Changes to Bus Routes: Mr. Ronald Harris is retiring therefore his route will be absorbed. Congratulations Mr. Ronald!! Here are the changes that go into effect tomorrow. Jimmy's bus 18-32 will take all of Ronald's and start 15 minutes earlier. What used to be his route one will now be one route, with the students he started with about 15 minutes later for pick-up. Jason Looper will pick up East Fork, Lemo Gufy lane, and all students on Peach Stone. The students on Peach Stone who used to be picked up by Jimmy will now all have to get on and off the bus with Jason.

Overton County Schools is adding an extra layer of security to protect your child’s information. Beginning this spring, all FinalForms accounts will use multi factor authentication (MFA). This means that after entering your password, you’ll also enter a quick verification code sent to your email or phone. It’s a simple step that helps keep student data safe. The 2026–2027 FinalForms platform will open on April 15, 2026. Families can begin updating student information, completing annual forms, and signing required documents at that time. Most information will automatically carry over from last year, so the process should be quick and easy. We appreciate your partnership in keeping our schools and student information secure as we prepare for the upcoming school year.

Prek registration will be held on March 12 at each school from 4:30-6:00pm. Kindergarten Registration will be on April 7. Please call your child's school for a Kindergarten Appointment. All Incoming PreK and kindergarten students for school year 26-27are required to have updated vaccines prior to first day of school. Send a copy of updated immunization form to your child's school no later than their first day. Please contact your primary care doctor for more information.

Due to a countywide water emergency and a current boil water mandate, Overton County Schools will be closed on Thursday, February 5 and Friday, February 6.
At this time, portions of Overton County are already without water, and officials have indicated that other areas may lose water as well while crews work to locate and repair leaks in the system. Because schools cannot safely operate without reliable access to potable water for drinking, food preparation, restrooms, and sanitation, this closure is necessary to ensure the health and safety of our students and staff.
We understand the inconvenience this may cause for families, especially following recent weather-related closures. Please know this decision was made in close coordination with local officials and out of an abundance of caution.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and communicate updates regarding school operations as more information becomes available.

Out of an abundance of caution, Overton County Schools will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, February 4th due to continued hazardous road conditions in some areas and a newly issued boil water notice, making water unsafe for consumption.
