About the Teacher

My name is Isaiah Walker, and I'm the PE teacher for Wilson Elementary School for all grades, Pre-K - 8th. I grew up in the Hanging Limb/Crawford area, and I was also a student of Wilson Elementary. I graduated from Monterey High School in 2014, and from there I went to Tennessee Tech to pursue a degree in Physical Education. Sports and physical activity have always been a huge part of my life since I was very young, and I wanted to help teach others about living a healthy lifestyle and staying active. I graduated from TTU in 2018 with my Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in Physical Education. I spent the first four years of my career in Clay County teaching physical education, as well as coaching football to both middle school and high school students. In 2022, I had the opportunity to return to the school that I once called home, to educate students and get them excited about health, sports, and physical fitness.
